S3 E9 Blue Up

Allen doesn’t understand music. Robbie and Hamilton try and fail to help him. At school, Allen and Hamilton rehearse at band practice, where Allen catches Hamilton fake playing. Later, Josh and Allen go to the park, where Allen uses his Xelan powers to fly and talk to birds about music.

At school again, Robbie walks in on Hamilton playing French horn well, but he can only do it when people aren’t watching. Robbie gives him a pep talk, but he freaks out when Robbie tells him he has a solo to perform.

Talia enters a photography contest and takes pictures. At the park, she sees Phil Berg and takes a photo of him on the ground in defeat, and the photo picks up Allen going Xelan. The main 3 have a tense discussion about this in the attic.

At first, Robbie has her doubts, but the photo does make it to the news. Phil Berg gets the paper and thinks he sees an alien. At the school photo room, Talia enlarges the mysterious spot and tells her findings to Phil Berg, which they plan to report on Phil’s show.

Josh has some plan with a weather balloon that I didn’t really catch up on. Somehow Hamilton shows up, and Robbie helps him play in the attic by turning the lights off so he can’t see anyone, until Josh tells everyone that Phil Berg is on.

The main 3 go to the attic and plan on what to do but Allen has a plan. Hamilton plays his horn at the park, where Phil Berg and Talia bring their followers to talk about aliens. Allen goes Xelan to make Phil Berg crazy, but then Robbie “reassures” everyone that wasn’t an alien, rather it was Phil’s kite which was stuck in the tree. Talia feels betrayed. The main 3 then have a rooftop scene.

My Allen Strange Story + Show Review

I was born during the original run of the show, so I never had a chance to watch it on TV, and I was a huge fan of Nickelodeon as a kid, but from 11 1/2 and-a-half to 21-and-a-half I didn’t watch it.  I got back into Nick thanks to Drake & Josh, and I haven’t looked back since.  Aside from Allen Strange, I watch Drake & Josh and Double Dare pretty regularly and sometimes iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Kenan & Kel when it comes to Nick. I didn’t watch Allen Strange until 2025 because the a lot of the series (including the finale) was lost media and I didn’t want to watch a show with missing episodes, especially if I had no way of knowing how the series was going to end. I made this blog to one, show my appreciation for this great show and two, serve as an archive for the show if it ever gets taken down again. S3 E17 Life of the Party

Allen eats pop rocks with soda, and bubbles of his head form Xelan style. Then the theme plays. Josh needs someone to watch him during Robbie’s track thing, so Allen gets Manfred. They get Mr. Stevenson’s credit card. On the walk home from school, Josh talks to Plato while Hamilton gets nervous when Allen brings up his birthday. Josh talks about throwing a party, which Allen thinks would be good for Hamilton. At home, Manfred blocks the TV screen from Josh and Allen’s video game. After Josh suggests that Manfred try on Mr. Stevenson’s clothes, him and Allen order food from a bunch of places. Mr. Stevenson calls Manfred and he lectures the two boys after they make a mess and are late for school. Allen and Josh hang out with Plato as Josh prepares his gaming thumb. Hamilton comes to the house and is surprised with a birthday cake, which brings back PTSD of a house fire to him and he freaks out. Manfred quickly ends the party, but more people come anyway. Character Review: Robbie Stevenson

  Robbie is a 15 year old girl played by the obscure actress Erin J. Dean.  She’s a surfer, she’s on the track team and she also makes jewelry. Supposedly she has bad grades on the show, to the extent that she was excited to get a B in one episode (I don’t remember which one) because she had never gotten a grade that high in her life, and she was 15. I didn’t see her as stupid. Robbie may not always get along with her brother Josh, and sometimes even Allen, but they always find their way back to each other. The friendship between Robbie and Allen was so close that I was surprised that they didn’t kiss by the end of the show like Aang and Katara did in Avatar’s finale. Robbie has her angry moments and she can usually win an argument, but she’s usually calm and when she’s calm, she’s a friendly and pleasant person. 95% of her actions are on the side of good, and when they aren’t, they’re usually not too bad to begin with.
