S2 E9 Portal: Part Two

Mr. Stevenson catches Robbie at the bowling alley and he takes her home. Josh travels through space in the portal and enjoys it. At home, Robbie’s dad grounds her and sends her to her room. In the studio, Phil Berg’s neck marking activates and hurts him. Allen creates a hologram of Josh and Robbie falls for it at first. He does some calculations and finds that Josh is heading for a black hole.


Phil Berg becomes possessed by the Trycloids, who tell him to get the key. Robbie gives her dad a speech on how he should trust her until Allen calls her over to start the plan to get Josh back. He brings Manfred to life to accomplish this. They go to the bowling alley, where the vortex sucked up the bowling alley. Phil Berg shows up at the scene, but is locked in his car by the Manfred, Robbie and Allen.

Mr. Stevenson notices that Robbie and Josh aren’t at home and he decides to ground them. Allen and Robbie tie Manfred to a rope and have him go into the vortex, but he splits apart and Robbie ends up with him in the vortex. Allen decides to send Manfred’s other half into the vortex, where it reattaches and Allen pulls them out of the vortex. After Josh is rescued, Allen tells them to leave.

Phil Berg gets arrested by the police for some reason. Allen says he put the key in the portal to close it because otherwise the portal would have gotten so big it would have destroyed the Earth. Robbie and Josh thought that he wanted to go home, but he says that the portal wouldn’t have closed if he left.

When Robbie and Josh come home, Mr. Stevenson wants an explanation to why they left, and Josh said he was helping Robbie at the bowling alley. He accepts their reason but tells them to never go to the bowling alley again.

My Allen Strange Story + Show Review

I was born during the original run of the show, so I never had a chance to watch it on TV, and I was a huge fan of Nickelodeon as a kid, but from 11 1/2 and-a-half to 21-and-a-half I didn’t watch it.  I got back into Nick thanks to Drake & Josh, and I haven’t looked back since.  Aside from Allen Strange, I watch Drake & Josh and Double Dare pretty regularly and sometimes iCarly, Victorious, Big Time Rush, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Kenan & Kel when it comes to Nick. I didn’t watch Allen Strange until 2025 because the a lot of the series (including the finale) was lost media and I didn’t want to watch a show with missing episodes, especially if I had no way of knowing how the series was going to end. I made this blog to one, show my appreciation for this great show and two, serve as an archive for the show if it ever gets taken down again. S3 E17 Life of the Party

Allen eats pop rocks with soda, and bubbles of his head form Xelan style. Then the theme plays. Josh needs someone to watch him during Robbie’s track thing, so Allen gets Manfred. They get Mr. Stevenson’s credit card. On the walk home from school, Josh talks to Plato while Hamilton gets nervous when Allen brings up his birthday. Josh talks about throwing a party, which Allen thinks would be good for Hamilton. At home, Manfred blocks the TV screen from Josh and Allen’s video game. After Josh suggests that Manfred try on Mr. Stevenson’s clothes, him and Allen order food from a bunch of places. Mr. Stevenson calls Manfred and he lectures the two boys after they make a mess and are late for school. Allen and Josh hang out with Plato as Josh prepares his gaming thumb. Hamilton comes to the house and is surprised with a birthday cake, which brings back PTSD of a house fire to him and he freaks out. Manfred quickly ends the party, but more people come anyway. Character Review: Robbie Stevenson

  Robbie is a 15 year old girl played by the obscure actress Erin J. Dean.  She’s a surfer, she’s on the track team and she also makes jewelry. Supposedly she has bad grades on the show, to the extent that she was excited to get a B in one episode (I don’t remember which one) because she had never gotten a grade that high in her life, and she was 15. I didn’t see her as stupid. Robbie may not always get along with her brother Josh, and sometimes even Allen, but they always find their way back to each other. The friendship between Robbie and Allen was so close that I was surprised that they didn’t kiss by the end of the show like Aang and Katara did in Avatar’s finale. Robbie has her angry moments and she can usually win an argument, but she’s usually calm and when she’s calm, she’s a friendly and pleasant person. 95% of her actions are on the side of good, and when they aren’t, they’re usually not too bad to begin with.
