Character Review: Josh Stevenson

Josh is a smart, caring (when he has to be), and resourceful 11 year old boy, and he’s a vital part of the main trio. He reminds me of when I was his age in many ways. Overall, Josh is great, just like the rest of the main trio and Hamilton.

He preferred computers over sports, he liked playing video games and watching TV, he was smarter than your average kid, and he got good grades in school. We both loved comic books. He also wasn’t very popular, but wasn’t the laughingstock of the school either. I can’t say that I had his knowledge of technology or aliens, however.

I enjoy his fascination with aliens. I think it was somewhat silly that Josh would always parade his love of aliens to his father, while at the same time harboring an alien behind his back. But, it did make for interesting plots.

I liked Josh’s friendship with Allen. Given Josh’s interest in aliens, it must have been destiny for an alien-obsessed but chill (unlike Phil Berg) kid like Josh to meet Allen. I’m glad that Josh was able to learn more about a topic he’s so passionate about just by hanging around Allen.
